Washington State Watchable Wildlife Conference

This week brought to Crystal Mountain the Washington State Watchable Wildlife Conference put on by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife and the State Department of Tourism.

The theme this year was "Pathways to Nature" and the keynote address was titled "Working Together to Leave No Child Inside".

There were many great speakers, exhibits and activities throughout the three full days of the conference. It attracted over 100 participants! Government employees of the National Park and Forest Services, Nature Photogs and Tourism Professionals descended on Crystal in order to bask in the beauty of the area, learn something and, of course, watch some of our area's abundant wildlife!

Stay tuned next year for information on the 2008 Conference if it looks like something that would benefit your community, your profession or even your soul!

Until next time,
