A long hike, but what a GREAT ski down!! 

Keep trekking Dave, just don't get too close to those Glaciers.

Just because the Chair Lifts are closed, doesn't mean that skiing is over. Mt. Rainier has tons of snow!!

Rainier Rides located at the Alpine Inn is have a sale on all of their demo skis. Low low prices. Christiaan makes sure all his skis are in top condition. 

So lets ski down the the green valley chair. Their was 4800 skiers at Crystal today close to a recorrd. I think everyone one had a good time and was understanding that Crystal was making it all happen with 1/4 of its normal staff. Thanks John for the round of drinks at The Elk.

Green Valley was great! 

I put the camera away the first few runs because we were on a mission for fresh powder tracks. No time for pics until we got on the lift. First run the 3 of us did the doors off sunny side and then headed for green valley. 

First ride on Rex as the people on the first chair came bombing down Lucky Shot and Sunny Side. 

We got on the Chair and I was glad I wasn't at the end of the line. 

We all watched the ceramonial first chair head to the top.  

So we got in line with everyone else. 

I was sure that I was going to get first Chair today, not. 

White out. Its going to be deep for tomarrows opening.
