Early October SNOW?!?!?

Check this out!

A fairly substantial dusting of snow fell on the slopes of Crystal Mountain on the night of October 2nd!

There is a snow advisory in effect for the mountain passes over the next two days. Report is, the snow level may drop down to 3,000 feet in some places!
According to an article published in the Seattle PI, this could be a La Nina year. That meaning we Pacific Northwesterners can expect a wetter than usual winter; and wetter in the lowlands means whiter and fluffier in the mountains!

I'm taking this early snow as a sign of good things to come and plenty of deep pow! Be sure and MAKE YOUR SKI PLANS NOW!
Until Next Time,

Alpine Bridge Under Construction - Part II

Here is a look at the current progress of the bridge face lift!

The plan, as you can see by the large concrete supports on either side, is to raise the bridge to parking-lot-level to ease access and make our lovely little Alpine Inn that much more visible to the hungry, thirsty and tired skiers walking by!

The construction will be completed by the time we open for the winter season.

Between the new chairlift, new paint job on the base-area buildings and our new and improved Alpine Inn Bridge, it's almost as if, this year, you'll be looking at a whole new Crystal!

Until Next Time,

Gina DeNoble
